  Dear All.  Two months have gone by since my last post. I kept thinking, I'll write a new blog when I've some news, something interesting to write about. But hey, two months have passed, we've now entered lockdown for the next 6 weeks with no end in sight. People are making dreadful prophesies that there will no be school before April and maybe not till September!! I don't think we're going to be having any adventures at all so we'll just sum up what was and be excited about... er.. the next walk around the block. November  Back when Hadas was 8 we couldn't think what to get her for a birthday present. So we promised her a hike, just us and her. She liked the idea, problem was, we were kinda busy, usually too busy to make supper never mind find a day for both of us to take off work, leave the other two kids for a day and go hiking. Reading and baking (green bread and pizza)

    Since we've been home a lot, like everyone else, we've been getting a lot of reading, baking (and eating) done. And one thing that's always bothered me is the that I've never been able to find a recipe book aimed at encouraging reading. .. Bear with me.. See, sometimes you, and your kid get fed up of reading about Biff and Chip and how Dad fell in the water (Oh no!) and want to do something else. So you encourage your kid to read the recipe book instead, but then the recipe book has so many words, and so many pictures.. that your eyes cross and .. if you're like me, you find yourself picking out the five most important ingredients and mixing them up. And you know what? Often it comes out pretty darn good anyway. So then I got to wondering, what if I could create a recipe book designed to be read by a child practicing reading. The baking is the byproduct and the resultant baked goods is the reward to encourage the reading.  I've started, and I'm going to ...
